ACTADYS, enable people with disabilities and youth to act for sustainable cities, is a project aimed at improving inclusion and sustainability in urban development for young people with disabilities. This project aims to transform our urban communities, making them more accessible and equitable for everyone. It begins in December 2024 and will last for 36 months (until October 2026).

Project Objectives

  1. Training of Youth Workers: Train over 100 youth workers in inclusive practices for people with disabilities, supporting urban development for young people with disabilities.
  2. Awareness of Urban Mobility: Increase awareness of urban mobility challenges for people with disabilities through events reaching 2,000 people.
  3. eLearning Platform: Launch an eLearning platform with modules and games on inclusive urban development for over 500 users.
  4. Policy Document: Create a policy document with recommendations for inclusive urban mobility, involving authorities.
  5. Advisory Committee: Form an advisory committee with 40% of its members being young people with disabilities to ensure resource integration.

Project Implementation

To achieve these objectives, the project will implement the following activities:

  • Development of an e-Portfolio: Create a methodological framework and a policy document.
  • Simulation-Based capacity building Package for Youth Workers/Trainers
  • e-learning space with educational resources and mini-games
  • Piloting workshops

These activities are designed to strengthen the capacities of youth workers and young people in sustainable and inclusive urban development, empowering them to take actions that enhance sustainability and inclusivity in urban communities.
